Elevven’s meteoric rise began with their remix of Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘You’, subsequently named Above & Beyond’s top track of 2018 in DJ Mag.

With singles including ‘One Last Time’ and ‘Heartbeat Tonight’ under their belt, the duo have continued to push the boundaries of trance music while their remixes for Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gate and Morgan Page have been hammered at festival stages around the world.

Regularly featured on Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance and Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Radio, their recent performances at ASOT 900 Mexico City and ASOT 950 Utrecht have set the stage for a landmark 2021 for the Los Angeles-based duo.

Ora is a multilevel Venue with a view of Puget Sound, plush interior offering a unique nightlife experience. The first floor provides a very private and intimate atmosphere with a full bar, sound and lights. The main floor provides a huge bar with two dance floors, unique décor, and an LED DJ booth. Ora also comes equipped with amazing LED lights and a complete sound system for all types of entertainment. The venue often has many popular local and international artists playing there from Oliver Smith to Kristina Sky and Matt Lange.


Belltown

A multipurpose space and venue, the idyllic nightclub Halcyon is located in a Victorian-era brick and steel-beamed warehouse in San Francisco’s SOMA neighborhood. The venue which has a capacity for 400 is customizable to morph into whatever shape and ambiance the production demands. It offers a multi-sensory experience and is amazing anytime from dusk to dawn; with large skylights and high ceilings that let the sun stream in for daytime events, and with a contrasting, subversive evening set up of world class lighting, sound and production. From one wondrous manifestation to another, renowned DJs and talents are able to perform their artistry in front of the crowds night after night. Weekend nights at Halcyon feature DJs and semi-live performances by both local and world-famous techno and electronic artists, while Wednesdays are for cabaret nights, including varied performances and bottle service at the booths.

Newspeak borrowed its name from George Orwell’s famed dystopian novel 1984, but the outlook when you step into this nightlife spot is anything but dismal. With a long, well lit bar, plenty of space around for standing, and a more than sufficient dance floor, it’s a comfortable hang out spot that always has room for everyone. The amazing shows at Newspeak are definitely a major draw, but Montrealers can always be found lingering at the bar, sharing stories, and enjoying themselves even when the stage is empty.

Relatively new to Montreal’s nightlife scene, Newspeak just opened in early 2015, but it has already created quite the buzz. Located in the heart of Quartier des Spectacles, the club looks like a speakeasy straight out of the prohibition era, but with a futuristic twist that creates a very interesting vibe. Its avant garde aesthetic is complimented by the various indie, electronic, and other alternative music artists who have played countless shows at the venue since it opened its doors.

Contrasting massive, stadium style setups that can be awesome, but completely lack an intimate feel, Newspeak was made to cater to the fan that really wants to get up close and personal with their favorite artists. The company behind the venue, SJU, is known for curating incredibly unique live events with unconventional international artists and the trend has definitely continued at Newspeak. Part of their mission to make non-mainstream music accessible to the public includes throwing all of their shows at a very reasonable price, usually ranging from $10 to $15.

One of the oldest duos in trance, Myon & Shane 54, announced moments ago on their Facebook that they are officially splitting up. In the announcement, they write that “Myon & Shane 54” isn’t over, but they’ve decided to focus on individual endeavors for the time being.

For those paying attention, however, the writing was on the wall. Myon has posted images from a photo shoot on his socials, in which he appears solo; and in their last round of US tour dates, Myon was performing by himself – with the exception of their last two shows (San Diego & Seattle).

Additionally, the podcast International Departures was offline for over a month, returning yesterday as “with Shane54.”
