Anastasia Kristensen is an uncompromising force of nature that shifts sounds and tempos at a moment's notice - providing a whirlwind of emboldened intensity that can be felt equally through her productions and DJ sets.

Always the adventurer, the Copenhagen-via-Moscow producer has been at it for a while -- finding inspirations from the likes of ballet to effusively digging for records to satisfy her curiosity. With her track "Spring Ballade" released on Nous Disques in 2016 and previous work with BLD and Monasterio, she only sought to move forward and carve out a path that would only broaden the scope for her reach as time goes on. It begins with her DJ sets - Kristensen starts with tone as the foundation; she weaves a web that incorporates barreling breaks, blistering techno and buoyant electro in scintillating fashion - inviting listeners to be curious about which strand she'll weave with each passing track she plays. With featured mixes on Mixmag and Red Bull, as well as releases forthcoming in the year, Anastasia is determined to take even bigger chances and leap farther into the sonic spectrum of underground music - by never staying in one lane.

Hi Ibiza opened its doors in 2017 under the direction of Ushuaia Entertainment. The club used to be formerly known as Space and is located in Playa d’en Bossa. The superclub hosts a massive space that has a capacity of 2,500 people, and contains 7 VIP areas, an open-air terrace, and two rooms: The Theatre and The Club. The best time to visit the club would be in the summer as they host the biggest artists and DJs in the EDM industry then, but the party is always popping at Hi Ibiza. Corsica Studios (previously known as the Corsica Arts Club) is a medium-sized, two-roomed music space located in close proximity to Elephant & Castle tube station in south-east London. A rotating cast list of promoters and labels stage events at the venue each Friday and Saturday. The music pushed at the club is rooted in house, techno, electro and disco, but often incorporates dubstep, drum & bass and bass music. Open since 2005, the club is known for its intimate, urban atmosphere and solid soundsystems.

Flash opened its doors in June of 2013 as a collaboration between long-time lovers of music, former DJ’s, and music industry vets. Their goal was to present an intimate space where artists can express themselves clearly and fans can hear their favorite artists in an ideal setting.

The Club Level features an acoustically treated studio-quality room showcasing a custom Funktion One sound system and a next-generation lighting rig designed to heighten the experience. It provides a balance between dance floor, fully stocked bar and wall-to-wall bench seating.

The ground floor, appropriately named Flash Bar, features a separate dance floor and DJ area, coat check, ATM, additional restrooms, and a fully stocked bar specializing in a wide selection of liquor and hand-crafted cocktails.

Flash is open every Friday and Saturday night with headlining national and international DJ talents covering a wide spectrum of house music, from deep to techno. Other styles of music are also presented numerous nights per week.

A multipurpose space and venue, the idyllic nightclub Halcyon is located in a Victorian-era brick and steel-beamed warehouse in San Francisco’s SOMA neighborhood. The venue which has a capacity for 400 is customizable to morph into whatever shape and ambiance the production demands. Nowadays is an outdoor performance venue and hangout spot from the team behind well-loved Brooklyn dance parties Mister Sunday and Mister Saturday Night, offering cold beer, fresh food, and communal, backyard vibes. Nowadays provides a relaxed, park-like setting for all-ages performance and play. The central feature of the garden is a padded, multi-use dance floor that accommodates hundreds of dancers on Sunday afternoons. A formal grid of honey locust trees surrounds the floor, offering filtered shade and a leafy canopy to relax beneath. Nowadays opened an listening bar inside called Indoors, which is situated on an industrial stretch of Cooper Avenue lined with auto repair shops. The 5,000-square-foot converted warehouse features an audiophile-approved custom sound system, fog machines and a polished marble bar that runs the length of the modern, minimalist space. Hypnotic blue strobes pulse on the hazy dance floor, where a strict no-cellphone policy is enforced. Indoors hosts niche listening events like Planetarium, where people are encouraged to bring pillows, blankets, and even sleeping bags to get cozy on the floor and listen to music in silence for five hours. Indoors also offers vinyl records for quiet listening, strategy board games, and even a class about Stranger Things taught by start-up Think Olio.

Originally housed on the fourth floor of the magnificent Wrigleyville building (also home to Metro), this venerated dance club is now in the basement. A makeover in 2006 slicked up the looks a notch and brought back a vibrant young crowd. But more important, the club boasts a world-class Funktion One sound system, which sounds tremendous on the central dance floor. Typical bills find cutting-edge DJs from Europe, Detroit and Chicago spinning for the crowd.

TV lounge is a place where everybody knows your name. It's been referenced time and time again as the "Cheers"of Detroit. The staff is renowned for their attentiveness, courtesy and skill behind the bar and on the floor. They offer a wide variety of mixed cocktails, beer & wine with an average price of $6. Music ranges from Techno & House to Hip Hop & R&B depending on the night. Our kitchen stays open late but is limited to a few items. Perfect for a quick bite or when you've had one too many. Weeknights offer a more intimate setting where as weekends typically provide a bustling club atmosphere.

Griessmühle can easily be reached with the S-Bahn using the ring until the stop Sonnenallee. Like so many other summer location, this Neukölln institution unites a location by the waterside (in this case the Neukölln Boat Channel) with the charme of an old factory ground - an old pasta factory.

However, Griessmühle sets itself apart from all other Berlin open air clubs with the enlarged schedule of events that they host. Next to crazy parties and chilly-relaxed after hour sessions, Tuesdays see the "Pong Club" with a ping pong night. Mühlenmarkt, a flea market, is held every first Friday of the month between 03:00 pm and 09:00 pm and boats next to vendors of second-hand clothing, street food, arts & craft and rummage. The calendar is completed with spontaneaous events - now who can beat that?

Going Back In Time

Com Truise is one of the many personas of producer and designer Seth Haley, born and raised in upstate New York and operating out of a 12’-overrun apartment in Princeton, New Jersey. An admitted synth obsessive, Com Truise is the maker of an experimental and bottom heavy style he calls “mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk”.

Haley’s been making music on the side for roughly a decade—going through ps...eudonyms like toothbrushes (Sarin Sunday, SYSTM, Airliner)—first as a DJ, and currently, as an excavator of softer, window-fogging synth-wave.

While subliminally informed by both parental record collections and hints of faded electronics product design, Haley’s Com Truise project isn’t just nostalgia capitalization. There are fragments (read:

DNA strands) of Joy Division, New Order, and the Cocteau Twins, but it’s like you’re hearing them through the motherboard of a waterlogged Xbox—demented and modern. He’s got a way of making familiar things sound beautifully hand-smeared.

The first Com Truise release was the Cyanide Sisters EP—distributed for free on the AMdiscs label—where mellow stone-outs like “Sundriped” and “Slow Peels” sat next to harder IDM bangers (“BASF Ace” and “IWYWAW”) and bumpy alt-funk trips (“Norkuy” and “Komputer”). After that came a single “Pyragony/Trypyra,” and a series of eclectic podcast mixes titled “Komputer Cast.” Now comfortably situated amidst the Ghostly roster, he’s prepping his next warped pillage, and hopefully not changing that name again.
